Starry Spoon Logo, Branding, & Food Truck Design
Starry Spoon is a fictional food truck company I named, designed, and developed. The storytelling aspect of this brand was important to me and I explored the idea of what it would be like if our experience at a food truck could be as charming and spectacular as the stars in the sky. To take it a step further, I've included 3D mockups of the food truck, to go packaging, a hand drawn signature souvenir cup, and a photoshopped mockup of a social media post.
Meaning and Inspiration
Starry Spoon is inspired by the beauty of the universe and the stars in the sky. Although most food trucks are a simple, quick stop, Starry Spoon creates an immersive and interstellar experience for customers to dine as if they were amongst the stars in space. We are all made of stardust afterall, why not romanticize a meal every once in a while and marvel in the beauty of the night sky?
Spoons made of gold are typically used to taste food to allow for the most pure and natural taste. Most metals have impurities, but gold creates a unique experience, so Starry Spoon also takes inspiration from the high quality tasting standards of the gold spoon. This inspiration is carried into the logo, color palette, look of the utensils, and the souvenir spoon straw.
