Meaning & Inspiration

For this design, I took inspiration from the Iowa state flower, the prairie rose; the Iowa state bird, the American Goldfinch; and the Julien Dubuque Bridge in Dubuque Iowa. Cooper’s Cafe is a warm, inviting, family friendly cafe happily serving both local and traveling customers. All of the artwork is hand drawn to fit the unique theming of the restaurant.

I chose a warm color palette to stimulate hunger and also create a warm, friendly atmosphere within the cafe. The mascot for the Cafe is Cooper and he is the spokesperson (spokesbird) for the brand. Cooper’s Cafe is dedicated to cooking fresh, healthy meals for every member of the family. There is no age limit to fresh food or fun.
