Shakespeare Book Cover Series
The following designs are a series of full book sleeves for three of Shakespeare's most famous works. Each one plays on the dark and tragic themes of the stories and features themes and characters who greatly influence the story line. All three book sleeves share similar design elements, but each highlights elements that are unique to the story in a way the compliments the other books in this design series.
Meaning & Inspiration
Shakespeare's work often plays with the idea of fate and nature, and I utilized these same themes in each cover to create a cohesive set of covers. Each design has it's own unique symbolism and elements to highlight the main theme within the story:
Hamlet plays with the ideas of life, death, and power.
Romeo and Juliet plays with the ideas of love, lust, and rivalry.
Macbeth plays with the ideas of revenge, conflict, and power.
