Creative Endeavors

While I consider myself an artist and designer by trade, I am a person who wears many hats. I love creating and learning anything and everything. I am naturally curious and thrive off of anything that allows me to innovate, create, and push the boundaries of what can be. Below are an assortment of random things in many mediums I have created over the years!

Art & Design

Below are some of my favorite pieces of art I’ve created over the years. They include a wide range of mediums including Acrylic paint, Acrylic Gouache paint, colored pencil, COPIC markers, paper cut art, digital art in Procreate, digital art in Illustrator, black light reactive pencils, chalk art, and rough pencil sketches.

Table Displays

Below are some various table designs I have created. The top row features images of my artist table at local artist alley events. The third image is my current table setup and is my favorite of the bunch as I feel it captures my spirit.

The second row is filled with images of tables I helped my mom design for a Tea For Life event that raised money for the American Cancer Society. Included below are our Snow White, Frozen, and Alice in Wonderland tables. Each one received a special reward for creativity.

The last two rows feature tables from family gatherings. I’ve become the holiday decorator in my family and it’s become my job to set the table to a special theme. I love this unofficial job of creating a cozy space for my loved ones to gather.

Costumes & Clothing

I love expressing myself through clothing. I’ve sewn, thrifted, and assembled a lot of outfits and costumes over the years. The first costume I ever made was a Snow White costume for Halloween. From there, I went on to sew my senior prom dress, sew more outfits, upcycle thrifted clothing into Disneybounds, create Fairy wings from scratch, and be more innovative in how I draw inspiration from characters to tell a story. Paper Dolls

One of my favorite, and most challenging, projects I’ve ever made was two sets of paper dolls for some very special loved ones. They were magnetic and the outfits could be attached to the base doll very easily. It was challenging to print and cut these out in a way that would allow the magnets to work without ruining the artwork, but it was a great learning process overall and I loved making them.

The first set was for my dear friend Jalae who loves dolls. Her and I met working at Disneyland and bonded over our love of all things Disney, especially the Disney princesses! I wanted to create a special gift for her one year and created a doll of her with all of her Cast Member costumes she wore as a Food & Beverage cashier (where we met!) and in her new role as a character host.

The second set was for a very inspiring and special woman in my life, my Grandma (or GG as we all called her. GG for Gorgeous Grandma of course!) She absolutely loved paper dolls as a young girl. She was an extremely fashionable woman throughout her life (I think I get my love of fashion from her), and she especially loved 1920’s fashion. I created a doll in her likeness complete with 1920s inspired under garments and outfits for any occasion.

Tea Paintings

One of my favorite mediums to use is tea. I find the process extremely relaxing and it is a fun challenge to use. Below are some of my favorites. They include a Whimsical Santa, a Bumble-Tea, Uncle Iroh from Avatar the Last Airbender, a cup of tea with a poem I wrote for my Grandma, and some bookmarks.
