Disney Sketch Artwork
The Disney Resort sketch program is a program that operates in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. As a sketch artist, I draw customized sketches of Disney characters for guests. All sketch offerings must go through an approval process before being available for guests, and I have been lucky enough to design and help design 8 during my time as a sketch artist.
Making magic for guests and inspiring artists of all ages is a key component of this role. On top of creating artwork that upholds character integrity, I interact with and teach guests from around the world about the history of Disney, Disney parks, animation, and art.
Sketch Artwork
Below are a collection of sketches I have done during my time as a sketch artist. They include sketches I have designed for the program, character sketches, cast member costume sketches, and park icon sketches.
I have gotten to create some very fun custom framed sketch projects for the Disneyana gallery including a piece featuring. all 12 official Disney princesses displayed in order of their release, and a 9 sketch piece featuring Snow White, the 7 dwarfs, and the Evil Queen. (Shown in the top row)
I also had the honor of sketching Tinker Bell for Margaret Kerry and meeting her! She is shown below sitting at the artist desk and holding her sketch of Tinker Bell. It was one of the most memorable moments I’ve had as a sketch artist.
Sketch Designs
During my time as a sketch artist, I have designed 12 approved sketches for the program so far. These include Patrick Begorra with his house in Adventureland at the Disneyland Resort, Constance Hatchaway from the Haunted Mansion for the 50th anniversary of the attraction, the Halloween Mickey Mouse Pumpkin, Heimlich from the Pixar film A Bug's Life, Piper from the Pixar short Piper, Sleeping Beauty's Castle at the Disneyland Resort, Snow White holding a pie for Grumpy, Pooh Bear with a balloon, Pooh Bear holding a Christmas Hunny, Donald Duck tangled in Christmas Lights, Christmas Belle holding a gift (not pictured yet), and Mickey Mouse signing “I Love You” (not pictured yet).
